Develop the future of equal opportunities in the labor market
Develop a solution or method that helps organizations prevent biases that lead to discrimination on the basis of gender in the collection and labeling of data used by automated system processes for the purposes of assessing and selecting candidates.
Discrimination remains a common problem in the labor market. In the future, companies will be required by law to pursue a policy for promoting equal opportunities within recruitment and candidate selection.
As this equal opportunities standard applies to all organizations in the Netherlands, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Inspectorate Social Affairs and Employment, and the Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Relations, are organizing this hackathon to shine a spotlight on gender discrimination within data-driven recruitment technology by inviting experts in tech, legal, policy, science, and entrepreneurship to find new solutions to make the labor market discrimination-free.
You will not only experience the excitement and pressure of a hackathon, but you will also meet awesome new people with different backgrounds and witness what you and your team can build in two days. There are mentors and experts to guide you along the way and help you learn more about methodologies, such as design thinking and lean start-up.
Also, great news when it comes to cooking. You don’t have to think about food & beverages. We know how important this is and we do take care of this. Healthy snacks, michelin star dishes (or pizza) and energizing bars are coming your way. We do make sure the hackathon experience comes to your home.
